500 million times "NO!"

Every single plastic straw that has ever been made, is still on this planet.

500 million(!!!) plastic straws are used daily in the United States alone. No official statistics exist for global plastic straw usage, but we can guarantee you that the numbers are too horrifying to think about.

But instead of burying our heads in the sand - let's stand up and make a difference. Refusing a plastic straw at a restaurant may feel like a feeble attempt at changing the world, but imagine if one hundred, one thousand, on million people all refused the plastic straw, that would mean there would be one million straws less in the ocean!

Straws and other single-use plastics are incredibly harmful for marine wildlife. We have all seen the video of the sea turtle with a straw up her nose, and floating plastics are often mistaken by marine life for food. We love all animals, which is why we say NO to single-use plastic straws! Encourage restaurants that you visit to switch away from plastic straws.
